New Oxford, PA (November 29, 2024) – A head-on collision on Route 94 near the Adams and York County border left four people injured on Tuesday evening. The crash occurred at approximately 5:39 p.m. between New Oxford and Hanover when a southbound vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming car. The impact caused the striking vehicle to spin and clip the front corner of a third vehicle.

As a result of the crash, the vehicle that was hit head-on also spun and its rear end struck a fourth vehicle that was waiting to turn from Hershey Heights onto Route 94. Emergency responders from the surrounding area quickly arrived to assist the victims. The driver of the vehicle hit head-on was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and trauma, while a total of four people were transported to local medical facilities. Fortunately, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that three of the four vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene. The road was closed for approximately six hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the crash. The roadway has since reopened. Emergency responders were quick to arrive on the scene, ensuring that all those injured received prompt care. The driver who sustained serious injuries will undoubtedly face a long recovery, while others involved in the crash will also need medical attention for less severe injuries.

We wish those hurt in this wreck a full recovery.
