New Milford, NJ – Bicyclist Injured in SUV Collision at Blvd & Demarest Ave

New Milford, NJ (September 10, 2024) – A 12-year-old boy sustained head injuries this Tuesday morning, September 10, when an SUV struck him. The accident occurred at the intersection of Blvd and Demarest Ave shortly before 8 AM. He was crossing the street when a small Toyota SUV collided with him.

The boy remained conscious and alert after the crash. New Milford Police Captain Kevin Van Saders said an EMS team from Holy Name Medical Center promptly transported him to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the SUV, a woman from Nyack, was not injured. 

Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
