New Madrid, MO (February 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on US 60 at Hwy FF, one mile west of Sikeston, left one person injured on February 26.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:50 p.m. when a 2021 GMC 2500 traveling southbound failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a 2025 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical aid to the driver of the Nissan Sentra, identified as a 48-year-old woman from Poplar Bluff, MO. She suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for further treatment.
The driver of the GMC 2500, a 27-year-old man from Mission, TX, was not reported as injured. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the Nissan Sentra being totaled and the GMC suffering moderate damage. D&K Towing removed both vehicles from the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash, and no further details have been released at this time.
