New Bern, NC (November 7, 2024) – A pedestrian was tragically killed in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Neuse Boulevard and Degraffenreid Avenue on Monday night. New Bern Police Department officers responded to the scene at approximately 7:42 PM.
Authorities reported that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Neuse Blvd when it struck the pedestrian in the roadway. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement officials are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The identities of those involved have not been released, and further investigation and notification of family members are pending.
