Negaunee, MI (September 9, 2024) – A 57-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident late Saturday night, September 7. The crash occurred at 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of US-41 and Teal Lake Ave.

The woman was driving a silver BMW northbound on Teal Lake Ave when she collided with a 2020 International Van Damme mine truck. The truck, driven by a 59-year-old man, tipped onto its side after the impact. The mine truck driver was unharmed.

Emergency responders transported the injured woman to UPHS-Marquette for immediate care. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the accident. Further details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
