Naugatuck, CT (January 21, 2025) – A person trapped in a burning apartment building on Conrad Street early Tuesday morning was rescued and transported to Waterbury Hospital for burn injuries, according to the Naugatuck Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the scene at Oak Terrace around 2:40 a.m. after a police officer on-site reported smoke emanating from the building and that a resident was unable to escape.
Firefighters quickly removed the trapped individual and extinguished the blaze. No other residents were displaced, and the situation was confined to a single apartment.
