Nashville, TN (November 4, 2024) – A serious three-vehicle crash occurred early Sunday morning on Interstate 24, resulting in life-threatening injuries to a woman. The incident took place just after 2 a.m. near the Bell Road exit, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and the Metro Nashville Police Department.
According to police reports, the crash involved a Honda driven by 45-year-old Yimer Veleno, who, along with the driver of a white panel van, was reportedly driving aggressively and attempting to run each other off the road. As the vehicles approached the Bell Road exit, Veleno’s Honda collided with the back of the van and then struck the side of a Mazda SUV.
The impact caused significant damage, and Veleno’s front-seat passenger, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained life-threatening injuries.
