Nanticoke, NY (March 8, 2025) – A tragic crash on Friday morning claimed the life of a young driver along State Route 26 in Nanticoke.
According to reports, the New York State Police at Deposit, along with Maine Ambulance and the Glen Aubrey Fire Department, responded to the 4100 block of State Route 26 after receiving a dispatch from the Broome County 911 Center.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered that a Ford pickup truck had crashed, and the driver was pinned underneath a tire. Sadly, officers confirmed that the driver had already passed away before emergency crews could provide assistance.
Authorities later identified the deceased as 22-year-old Sethe Menta of Lisle. Members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit also responded to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
