Nampa, ID – Pedestrian Fatality on I-84

Nampa, ID (September 8, 2024) – A 23-year-old man from. Nampa was fatally struck by a car while crossing I-84 early. Saturday morning. The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes when a Nissan Altima collided with him. He died at the scene.

The left two lanes of the interstate were closed for about four hours following the incident. Last year, Idaho saw a significant increase in pedestrian fatalities, with 31 deaths reported, nearly doubling from 16 in the previous year.

The Idaho State Police are continuing their investigation into this incident, and further details will be provided as they become available.
