Nacogdoches County, TX (March 2, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle accident claimed the lives of two individuals in Nacogdoches County on Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
The crash occurred on FM 255, west of Nacogdoches, when a westbound vehicle, driven by 35-year-old Preston Alfred of Montalba, veered off the road toward the shoulder. In an attempt to correct the movement, the vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by 87-year-old Nathalie Arnold of Douglass.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene to assist those involved. Alfred was pronounced dead at the scene, while Arnold was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have confirmed that the accident remains under investigation. No additional details regarding contributing factors have been released at this time.
