Murray, UT (November 16, 2024) – Three individuals were transported to the hospital following a truck rollover accident near 4th E and 4800 S on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred just after 2 p.m., when a pickup truck crashed into a residential fence, flipping over in the process.
Emergency responders from the Murray City Fire Department arrived at the scene to provide immediate assistance. Among those in the vehicle were an older man, identified as the driver, a male passenger, and a young boy believed to be two or three years old. Witnesses reported that the child appeared unharmed, but all three occupants were transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
The crash caused significant disruptions in the area, with 4800 S temporarily closed in both directions to facilitate the removal of the overturned vehicle. Tow trucks worked diligently to clear the wreckage, and the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
Notably, this is the second incident involving a vehicle hitting the same fence this year, the first having occurred in February. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to this crash.
Our thoughts are with those involved, and we wish them a swift recovery.
