Morristown Township, MN (January 27, 2025) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision involving a Toyota, Ford, and Dodge on Highway 60 near Holland Ave in Morristown Township. The accident occurred at approximately 8:56 PM, with Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Morristown Fire, and North Ambulance responding to the crash.
The vehicles involved in the incident included a 2011 Ford Escape, a 2020 Toyota Corolla, and a 2014 Dodge RAM 1500. According to reports, all three vehicles collided as two traveled eastbound and the other traveled westbound on Highway 60. Medics and fire crews worked to assist Abigail Jolene Merschman, 24, of Bemidji, MN, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Faribault Hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, the other drivers, Makiah Laree Zeiher, 18, of Janesville, MN, and Todd Russell Nelson, 58, of Faribault, MN, did not report injuries. All drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a contributing factor in this crash.
