Morgan County, IN (September 22, 2024) – The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a tragic pedestrian accident that occurred early Saturday morning. Emergency responders were dispatched to the 6500 block of State Road 252 at approximately 4:42 a.m. following reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, emergency medical services pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Preliminary investigations by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) indicate that the victim was a woman walking westbound in the westbound lane of SR 252, approximately two feet into the roadway. Unfortunately, the driver who struck her did not see her in the road.
As of the latest updates, the victim remains unidentified, as she did not have any identification on her person. Authorities described her as a white woman in her late twenties to early thirties, wearing black clothing. She had a distinctive haircut that is shorter on the sides and longer on top. Additionally, she has star tattoos behind her right ear and a lion tattoo on her left forearm.
