Moreno Valley, CA (September 13, 2024) – A motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday afternoon involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 215. The crash was reported just after 2 p.m. on the northbound side of I-215 at Cactus Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist collided with the semi-truck, possibly while attempting to exit the freeway, which caused him to fall in the No. 2 lane. Fortunately, the truck driver was able to pull to the shoulder immediately after the collision. Good Samaritans at the scene assisted the rider in getting up and out of traffic, along with his motorcycle, moving to a safer location on the shoulder.
Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived shortly after and assessed the rider, who sustained unspecified minor injuries but declined to be transported by ambulance. The truck driver was unharmed in the incident, and no other vehicles were involved.
