Montvale, NJ (January 14, 2025) – Two drivers were hospitalized following a crash outside the Shoppes in Montvale early Monday morning. The collision occurred at the intersection of DePiero Dr and Farm View shortly after 6:30 a.m., according to Montvale Police Chief Douglas McDowell.
An 86-year-old man from Park Ridge, driving a 2025 Audi A4, reported chest pains following the crash. The second driver, a 41-year-old Mahwah woman operating a 2023 GMC Yukon, sustained a thumb injury. Both individuals were transported to The Valley Hospital by Tri-Boro Ambulance for further medical evaluation and treatment.
Traffic in the area was partially detoured due to non-functioning traffic lights, causing minor disruptions. Responders included Montvale police, firefighters, and Bergen Brookside Towing, which removed the damaged vehicles from the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
