Monticello, MN (February 12, 2025) – Authorities responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 25 and Chelsea Rd in Monticello, Wright County, on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:12 PM and involved a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2002 Mazda MPV, both traveling southbound on Highway 25 when they collided at the intersection. Emergency responders, including CentraCare Ambulance, were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims.
While the drivers of both vehicles, Daniel William Casey of Big Lake and Megan Lynn Dunham of Princeton, were uninjured, the collision resulted in injuries to passengers in the Mazda. A 7-year-old female passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare Hospital for treatment. A 6-year-old female passenger also suffered non-life-threatening injuries but did not require hospital transport. A 2-year-old male passenger was fortunately uninjured.
The road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the accident. Both drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
