Montgomery County, MD (January 27, 2025) – Early this morning, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on the southbound I-270 Spur under Westlake Terrace, between the I-270 split and Democracy Boulevard. One of the vehicles involved, a FedEx van, caught fire but was quickly extinguished by responding firefighters.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, one individual sustained critical injuries and was transported as a Priority 1 trauma patient for emergency medical care. Details about the other vehicle involved and additional injuries, if any, have not been disclosed.
