Montgomery County, MD (February 28, 2025) – A fire broke out at a two-story single-family home on Wasche Road on Friday afternoon, leaving one person injured and a family displaced.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service (MCFRS) crews responded to the scene and worked to extinguish the flames. All occupants safely evacuated the home before firefighters arrived.
One adult suffered burn injuries and was classified as a Priority 2 trauma patient. Emergency medical personnel transported the individual for further treatment. No additional injuries were reported.
Firefighters established a tanker fill-site on Martinsburg Road to assist in firefighting operations. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed, and an investigation remains ongoing.
