Montgomery County, OH (December 2, 2024) – One person is dead following a head-on collision Sunday night in Montgomery County. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 5000 block of Germantown Pike (State Route 4) just after 8:33 PM. Upon arrival, they found two vehicles involved in the crash, with no individuals having exited the vehicles.
The crash occurred when a blue Chevrolet Impala, traveling south on Germantown Pike, veered left of center and collided head-on with a black Toyota 4Runner heading north. The driver of the Chevrolet Impala was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Toyota 4Runner were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have confirmed that there was no sign of impairment from the driver of the 4Runner. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Unit.
