Montague County, TX (October 16, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred on October 15 on US Highway 81, resulting in one fatality and one injury. According to officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Sandra Bingham of Ryan, Oklahoma, and Francis Durham of Eagletown, Oklahoma, were stopped at a temporary stoplight when they were struck from behind by a semi-truck.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and Durham was transported to Nocona General Hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries. Bingham was taken to a hospital in Fort Worth for medical treatment. Fortunately, the driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the collision.
