Monongalia County, WV (January 14, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Blue Horizon Dr claimed the life of one individual. Deputies from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at approximately 5:30 a.m.
The investigation revealed that a Toyota SUV traveling northbound crossed the center line and collided head-on with a coal truck heading southbound. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the coal truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released the names of those involved, as the investigation remains ongoing.
