Mobile, AL (March 10, 2025)– A devastating two-vehicle collision on Coy Smith Highway early Sunday morning claimed t he lives of two individuals and left another injured, according to local authorities.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 4:10 a.m. after reports of a serious crash. Officials confirmed that 37-year-old Derrick Skanes and 37-year-old Paula Jordan were fatally injured when their vehicle collided head-on with another car. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
