Mobile, AL (February 26, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Azalea Road and Burma Road left two people injured, including one in critical condition, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Authorities initially reported that one person had died in the crash. However, paramedics were able to revive the victim while en route to the hospital. That individual remains in critical condition.
Officers arrived at the scene around 1:34 p.m. and found two vehicles at the intersection. One person was discovered unconscious in a sedan and was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A second individual, found in an SUV, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital via a personal vehicle.
The crash resulted in road closures at the intersection as investigators worked at the scene and crews removed the damaged vehicles. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
