Mobile, AL (December 27, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident on Christmas night resulted in the death of a male motorcyclist on Dog River Bridge. Mobile Police Department officers arrived on the scene around 8 p.m. to find the motorcyclist deceased following a collision.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound when he crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with a vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 51-year-old Angela Mae Waltman, remained at the scene. Police arrested Waltman on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).
The name of the motorcyclist has not yet been released as officials are working to notify his next of kin. Mobile Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
