Moberly, MO (December 17, 2024) – Emergency crews responded to a rear-end collision on northbound US 63, approximately 207 feet north of Dripping Springs, on Monday evening. The crash occurred at approximately 5:55 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident took place when the driver of a 2016 Ford Fiesta, a 67-year-old female from Moberly, MO, turned northbound into the left lane of US 63 from Dripping Springs. The driver of a 2018 Ford Escape, a 20-year-old female from Moberly, MO, was traveling behind and struck the rear of the Ford Fiesta.
The impact caused both vehicles to travel into the median and come to a stop. The driver of the Ford Fiesta sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to Boone Hospital for further evaluation. The driver of the Ford Escape was not reported injured, but both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene by Still Towing and I-70 Towing.
The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, with assistance from Cpl. N.W. March.
