Millsboro, DE (January 3, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a working structure fire in the 28500 block of Dupont Blvd near Radish Rd in Sussex County on Thursday afternoon. The fire, reported at 3:27 PM, involved a residential structure with smoke and flames visible upon the arrival of the first units.
Firefighters from Millsboro (Station 83) and Dagsboro (Station 73), along with medics, worked quickly to bring the fire under control. By 3:51 PM, the blaze was reported as contained, but crews continued operations to fully extinguish hot spots and secure the area.
One civilian was transported by EMS to a nearby medical facility for treatment. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed. Southbound traffic on US 113 was redirected to accommodate firefighting operations, causing temporary disruptions in the area.
