Wrong-Way Crashes in Texas

Head-on collisions caused by wrong-way driving are among the most dangerous types of accidents, often resulting in severe injuries or fatalities. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, wrong-way crashes are commonly linked to impaired driving, driver confusion, or poor visibility. High-speed impacts, such as those seen on highways like Interstate 20, can amplify the severity of injuries.

This incident highlights the critical need for drivers to remain vigilant and alert, particularly on major roadways, to avoid such devastating accidents.

After a serious crash, immediate action is essential to ensure safety and protect your rights. First, contact emergency services to report the accident and provide aid to injured individuals. If safe to do so, document the scene thoroughly with photographs and gather information from witnesses and other involved parties.

Seeking medical attention promptly is crucial, even for those who feel uninjured, as some injuries may not be immediately apparent. Consulting with legal or insurance professionals can also help you navigate the complexities of filing claims and pursuing compensation for damages or injuries.
