Wrong-Way Crashes in Delaware
Wrong-way collisions are among the most dangerous types of crashes, as they often result in severe injuries or fatalities due to the high-speed impact. Dupont Parkway (US-13) is a major roadway in Delaware, frequently traveled by commuters and commercial vehicles, increasing the risk of serious crashes when drivers enter the roadway incorrectly.
According to the Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS), wrong-way crashes, though rare, are disproportionately fatal due to their high-speed, head-on nature. Common causes of wrong-way accidents include driver confusion, impairment, and reduced visibility at night.
For families of fatal crash victims, understanding their legal options is crucial.
