Miami Gardens, FL (February 21, 2025) – Two Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives were injured late Thursday night after their unmarked vehicle collided with a semi-truck at NW 167th St and NW 12th Ave.
According to officials, the crash occurred around 11:36 p.m. Preliminary reports indicate that the detectives were traveling north on NW 12th Ave when they entered the intersection and collided with a westbound semi-truck on NW 167th St.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported both detectives to a hospital in stable condition. Fortunately, the driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident.
