Mercer Township, PA (November 19, 2024) – A motorcycle accident occurred early Tuesday morning on William Flynn Hwy near the railroad trestle in Forestville, resulting in two injuries. Emergency crews, including Station 34 and Superior EMS, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:20 a.m.
Initial reports indicated both individuals involved in the crash were alert. One patient sustained an “obvious injury,” prompting the request for air medical support. Emergency responders worked to stabilize the patients on-site while coordinating traffic control on the north and south sides of the crash location.
Superior EMS units 103 and 102 arrived on the scene, and Stat MedEvac helicopters were dispatched to transport the injured individuals. Stat MedEvac 3 airlifted one patient to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, while Stat MedEvac 6 transported the second patient shortly thereafter. Both air medical units were operational within an hour of the initial response, ensuring rapid transport to advanced care facilities.
The accident site was cleared, and the incident was officially terminated around 1:55 a.m. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
