Merced, CA (November 13, 2024) – A head-on collision on Highway 140 near Arboleda Drive left two people injured Tuesday morning, November 12. The accident occurred just after 9:00 AM, east of Merced, when a Honda Civic driven by a 16-year-old girl lost control and collided head-on with a truck.
The impact of the crash caused the Civic to split into two parts. Miraculously, the teenager from Le Grand survived and sustained only minor injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The truck driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is conducting an investigation to determine the factors leading to the collision. Further details about the cause of the crash have not been disclosed.
