Melbourne, FL (February 4, 2025) – A motorcyclist tragically lost their life in a crash involving an SUV on North Wickham Road Saturday afternoon.
According to the Melbourne Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 1:51 p.m. in the 3600 block of North Wickham Road. Witnesses reported that a white Jeep SUV was exiting a parking lot and attempted to turn onto Wickham when it crossed into the path of an oncoming motorcycle traveling southbound.
The motorcyclist collided with the SUV and suffered critical injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to Orlando Health Melbourne Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released the motorcyclist’s identity.
Police stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
