McDonald County, MO (September 27, 2024) – A motorcycle accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, resulting in injuries to two individuals. At approximately 1:20 p.m., the Missouri State Patrol responded to a collision involving two motorcycles and a farm tractor on MO-90, located three miles west of Jane.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2024 Suzuki motorcycle, driven by 70-year-old Gary J. Bibeau from Wyoming, Minnesota, and a 2014 Honda motorcycle, operated by 40-year-old Kelly E. Sobon from Becker, Minnesota, both attempted to pass a Case farm tractor as it was making a left turn. This maneuver led to a collision between the two motorcycles, causing Sobon’s motorcycle to strike the tractor.
Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, where they provided medical assistance to the injured parties. Sobon sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Freeman Hospital in Joplin for further evaluation and treatment. Bibeau, who suffered minor injuries, was also taken to Freeman Hospital for medical care.
