Matthews, MO (September 7, 2024) – A crash at the intersection of US 61 and MO 80 left two drivers injured Friday night, September 6. Skylar A. Shipman, 23, was driving a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe when he turned into the path of a 2020 Hyundai Elantra driven by Audrey P. Wolford, 31.

Shipman sustained injuries and was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston by EMS. Wolford suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and will provide further updates as more details emerge.
