Martin County, TX (September 20, 2024)- A tragic accident in Martin County resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including a 22-year-old man from Paducah. The incident occurred on State Highway 349 near Mile Marker 300 around 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
A semi-truck pulling a trailer was reportedly stopped in the inside lane of the highway, preparing to turn west onto a private drive. A Jeep, driven by 19-year-old Shelby Carroll from Huffman, with 22-year-old Lorin Parks of Paducah as a passenger, was heading north on the highway. According to the report, the Jeep collided with the back of the trailer. Both Parks and Carroll were killed in the crash. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
