Marquette Township, MI (November 15, 2024) – A two-car crash in Marquette Township Thursday evening left a 92-year-old Marquette man in stable condition and his 96-year-old passenger with serious injuries. The collision occurred around 7:42 p.m. on US-41 West near County Road HQ and Walmart.
According to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, a 25-year-old woman from Ishpeming was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when she collided with a Cadillac SRX driven by the 92-year-old man. The impact of the crash sent the Cadillac into a ditch, while the driver and passenger in the pickup truck were fortunately uninjured. The two occupants of the Cadillac were both transported to UPHS-Marquette for medical treatment.
At this time, the identities of the individuals involved have not been released, and the crash is still under investigation. Authorities believe drugs may have played a role in the accident.
