Marlin, TX (November 22, 2024) – A serious head-on collision on SH-7 near CR 445, west of Marlin, left one person critically injured and another hospitalized on Thursday afternoon. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the crash at approximately 12:30 PM.
Preliminary reports from Texas DPS indicate that a Dodge Ram traveling eastbound attempted to pass another vehicle on the two-lane road. During the maneuver, the Dodge collided head-on with a westbound Ford F350. The impact resulted in severe damage to both vehicles.
Emergency responders transported both drivers to the hospital. The driver of the Dodge is reported to be in critical condition, while the condition of the Ford driver has not yet been disclosed.
