Marion, IN (January 23, 2025) – A serious accident involving two individuals trapped in their vehicles occurred Thursday night at St Rd 22 and James St in Marion. Emergency responders worked tirelessly to extricate both victims while addressing injuries sustained during the crash.

The collision caused significant disruption, leading authorities to shut down St Rd 22 Westbound. Lutheran Air 2 was dispatched and arrived at the R J Baskett landing zone within 15 minutes to assist in transporting one of the injured parties for advanced medical care. The second extrication was completed successfully, and both victims were taken for further treatment. Their current conditions remain unknown.
