Marion County, FL (March 4, 2025) – A 50-year-old man lost his life Monday night following a motorcycle crash on US 301 near County Road 42, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:28 p.m. when the motorcyclist, traveling northbound, failed to maintain his lane and struck a concrete curb. The impact caused the rider to lose control and crash.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist under a trauma alert to HCA Ocala Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No further details have been provided at this time.
