Marion County, FL (February 24, 2025) – A 23-year-old motorcyclist lost his life Sunday night after a collision with an SUV at the intersection of U.S. 441 North and Northwest 95th Street.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 9:49 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 29-year-old Ocala man was driving an SUV westbound on NW 95th St. and had stopped at a stop sign before attempting to cross U.S. 441. As the SUV proceeded into the roadway, a northbound motorcycle crashed into the left side of the vehicle.
The impact caused both vehicles to overturn. Emergency medical responders arrived quickly to provide aid. The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old Ocala man, was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was also treated at the hospital.
