Marinette County, WI (January 21, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on US-141 near County Highway K in the Town of Amberg resulted in the death of 58-year-old Russell L. Reynolds of Wausaukee on Friday afternoon. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred around 3:12 p.m.
According to authorities, 22-year-old Aiden P. Vanpembrook of Green Bay was driving north on US-141 when Reynolds, traveling south, pulled out from a private driveway, causing a collision. Reynolds, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.
First responders found Reynolds trapped underneath a vehicle and confirmed he died at the scene. Failure to yield the right of way appears to have been a contributing factor, though the crash remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency personnel from the Amberg Fire Department, Wausaukee Fire Department, Wausaukee Rescue, and Integrity Paramedics Intercept assisted at the scene.
Our thoughts are with Russell L. Reynolds’ family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Risks of Failure to Yield and Seatbelt Non-Use
Crashes caused by failure to yield, like the one on US-141, are a significant cause of traffic fatalities. Combined with the lack of seatbelt use, the risk of severe or fatal injuries increases dramatically during high-impact collisions.
Victims and their families often face emotional and financial challenges after such incidents. Seeking professional assistance can help navigate legal rights and explore available support resources.
