Winter Weather Accidents in Missouri
Missouri’s winter months bring hazardous driving conditions, increasing the risk of accidents like the one at US 63 and Highway 28. Snow-covered and icy roads can lead to reduced traction, longer stopping distances, and loss of vehicle control. Drivers must take extra precautions when navigating winter weather to avoid serious crashes.
One of the primary dangers in winter driving is losing control and veering into oncoming traffic, as seen in this crash. Slowing down, maintaining a safe following distance, and ensuring proper tire traction are key measures to prevent such incidents. Commercial trucks, given their size and weight, pose an increased risk in collisions, making defensive driving crucial for all motorists.
For accident victims, the recovery process can be challenging. Medical expenses, vehicle repairs, and lost wages can create significant financial strain. Understanding legal options and seeking professional support can help ensure injured individuals receive the assistance they need.
