According to preliminary reports, a 2019 Ford F250, driven by 19-year-old Zane A. Pope from Conroy, IA, was traveling northbound on Western Avenue. As he made a turn eastbound onto W Miller Street, he collided head-on with a 2021 Harley-Davidson FLHX, operated by 52-year-old Craig A. Hawkins, a resident of Marengo, IA. The impact of the collision was significant, resulting in injuries.
Craig A. Hawkins suffered injuries in the accident and was transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) for medical evaluation and treatment.
