Maple Lake, MN (January 27, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a collision involving two vehicles on eastbound Highway 55 at the intersection of Baker Ave NW in Maple Lake Township, Wright County. The accident occurred at approximately 10:57 a.m. and involved a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a 2016 Ford Fusion sedan.
According to reports, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Hwy 55 when they collided at the intersection with Baker Ave NW. Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo Fire, and Allina EMS were quick to respond to the scene. Emergency responders provided immediate care to those affected by the crash.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, identified as Andrew Michael Gaffaney, 43, of Maple Lake, was not injured in the incident. The airbag in his vehicle deployed, and he was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, identified as Brenda Kay Olson, 58, of Maple Lake, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Buffalo Hospital for treatment. Her airbag also deployed, and she was confirmed to be wearing a seatbelt. Authorities confirmed that neither driver had consumed alcohol.
