Maple Grove Twp, MI (November 5, 2024) – A traffic accident occurred on Tuesday morning at approximately 8 a.m. involving two vehicles near the intersection of Peet Rd and Gasper Rd. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Chevrolet Impala was traveling southbound on Gasper when it failed to stop at the stop sign at Peet Rd, resulting in a collision with a Chrysler Town and Country van that was headed westbound on Peet Rd.

According to authorities, the van struck the driver’s side of the Impala. The Impala was operated by a 45-year-old man from Saginaw, while the van was driven by a 60-year-old woman. The woman had two young boys, aged three and one, seated in the rear of the van at the time of the accident.

The driver of the Impala sustained a broken left leg and required medical attention. Although the driver of the van appeared uninjured, she opted to go to the hospital for evaluation. Fortunately, the two children were unharmed and were later turned over to their father, who arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.
