Manatee County, FL (September 11, 2024) – A 62-year-old woman from Bradenton sustained serious injuries after a bicycling accident on US-41 Tuesday night, September 10. The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m. when the woman, riding north in the southbound lane of US-41, collided with a pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old Sarasota man.

The driver was traveling south in the middle lane when the bicyclist unexpectedly crossed into his path. Emergency responders transported the injured bicyclist to HCA Florida Blake Hospital for treatment of her serious injuries.
