Malta, NY (January 21, 2025) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening in the town of Malta. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near the intersection of Route 9 and Cherry Choke Rd at approximately 6:20 p.m.
According to authorities, a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck traveling north on Route 9 hit a pedestrian who was in the roadway. Emergency personnel from Malta-Stillwater EMS transported the injured pedestrian to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of their serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were uninjured.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Collision Reconstruction Unit to determine the cause of the crash.
