Maili, HI (September 15, 2024) – An 88-year-old male pedestrian was killed on Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle. The accident happened around 8:45 a.m., near Kaukama Rd and Kulauku St. A 68-year-old woman attempted to re-enter traffic and collided with the man as he crossed outside a crosswalk.

The pedestrian suffered serious head injuries and was transferred to a local hospital by emergency personnel. He eventually died as a result of his injuries. The driver remained at the site and was unharmed. Authorities are still investigating the situation.
