The incident was reported at approximately 7:08 p.m., involving a black Toyota truck and a red Dodge sedan, with reports of severe damage to the vehicles and debris scattered on the roadway.
Emergency responders, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire departments, arrived to assist multiple individuals who were out of their vehicles following the collision. Both lanes of SR-41 were temporarily blocked, causing significant traffic delays as authorities established one-way traffic control to manage the flow.
Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles, but delays were exacerbated by traffic congestion in the area. All lanes were reopened by 9:02 p.m., after debris was cleared and the roadway was deemed safe for travel. CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
