Macomb Township, MI (November 14, 2024) — A 19-year-old woman was injured Tuesday evening when a vehicle crashed into Nori’s Ham & Corned Beef Restaurant near the intersection of 21 Mile and Hayes Roads. The accident, which occurred around 7:37 p.m., involved a juvenile driver and a parent passenger.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports that the vehicle drove through the front of the restaurant, striking an employee who was working inside at the time. The injured woman was transported to Henry Ford Hospital, where she is currently listed in stable condition. No other injuries have been reported.
The MCSO Crash Team is actively investigating the incident to determine what led to the collision. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol was not a factor. The scene was secured by law enforcement, and damage to the restaurant is being assessed.
